-13 April 1922: KHJ 930 licensed to LA Times. Kindness, Happiness, Joy. Second radio station on air in Los Angeles, was called "The Times Radiophone."
-1931: Earl C Anthony's W6XS Gardena goes on the air
-1938: Don Lee's W6XAO channel 2 bows
-1940: W6XAO moves to Mt Lee
-March 1941: K45LA on, later to become KRTH 101.1 FM
-1945: W6XS gets Construction Point
-25 August 1948: KFI on, initially NBC
-October 1948: KFI-TV started
-1950: KFI goes commercial
-1951: RKO buys KFI tv 9 for 2.5 million dollars. KTSL sold to CBS
-January 1986: KHJ changed to KRTH-AM to reflect KRTH-FM. Both stations sold to Beasley, which in turn sold the AM station to Lieberman Broadcasting, who turned the former KHJ into KKHJ.
-1990: last RKO general station, KHJ tv 9 sold to Disney
